Towns separated by US-Mexico border

This 10-minute short documentary for Al Jazeera America Tonight followed a rural West Texas community where residents held a musical protest in the Rio Grande for easier access to their Mexican neighbors. The two towns, both isolated from their respective countries, have long depended on each other. As the director and producer, Catherine reported, produced and pitched the story to Al Jazeera America Tonight.
